the poptop canvas is tidy and watertight however 1 zip is broken and pinned together and the other zips are siezed. perfectly useable but i thought id mention it. few age related marks but hey its 30yrs old !!!

all in all a really nice original example of this sought after icon.

i looked at a few examples before buying this but they were either hand painted or battered around

and i liked the fact this hasnt been messed with and its got that retro look.

1985 FIAT 900E  Amigo/Pandora/Sleeping Giant Camper, 90,000 Miles

MOT has 9 months remaining, valid until Jan 26th 2013 and TAX until Dec 31st 2012.

The previous owner/s have had the van re-commissioned including brakes, electrics etc. overhauled all round and it passed its MOT'd with no advisories, valid until January 26th 2013, at a cost of <£1500.

The interior contains a kitchen unit with 2 ring hob and grill (needs a gas bottle and connecting up), a sink and cupboards, a seat and a cupboard containing a porta pottie. It is fitted with a 240v hook up with a R.C.D. and has a mains hook up cable. The 12v interior light will need a battery.

The previous owner also re-painted this vehicle last year and fitted a good SH engine. The engine is decent: it drives distances with no problems, but it does not idle perfectly when the engine is very hot. Think this is a carburettor timing issue, you need to give the engine some revs at the lights after a long drive. The paint job finish is ok but not by a professional body shop and there are still spots of rust showing.

The elevating roof fabric is in good condition with no holes or leaks. When last opened we closed it incorrectly causing the hinge to come loose and roof to close a couple of inches offset (see pic). Still OK to drive but will require someone with good DIY skills to fix before proper use. 

Also included in the sale are a couple of boxes of spares and a Haynes manual.

Alas , we have decided to sell our much loved Hymer.We have had 654 for nearly 7 years and have enjoyed every minute of ownership.Our reason for selling is simply down to the fact that our family is now greater than 6(2 just arrived) so we don't all fit in it .Back to a big tent for us.Caravans have never done it for me.This is the second Hymer we have had in the last 12 years and it has been more reliable and comfortable than the c class 65 we had previously.That one was on a Fiat Ducato , this one is based on the Citroen C25 and in my opinion is more refined and smoother than the Ducato. We have travelled extensively in 654 , in France and all around the UK including our annual Skiing trip to the Cairngorms each Feb.I searched for a long time to get this layout and was lucky to find this one via a UK importer , it has had one previous owner in Germany (a Doctor who bought it new)

The camper is in what I consider to be very good condition given it is 18 years old.It is dry , everything works as it should (see below) , and it is in original condtion , not re-upholstered in inferior fabric, or covered in stickers or with a worn out interior. The service history is quite extensive.

Summary Points.

Driving 654 drives well with power steering , fuel consumption ranges from 26 mpg fully loaded to 29 mpg if you are away for the weekend.Cruising speed is 60 mph with enough in reserve to get past caravans and trucks on the motorway.Brakes are good as I ve had the discs, pads and brake pipes replaced.Its left hand drive which is far easier to drive over here than risking driving a right hand drive on the continent.Once you have driven a few times it becomes normal.Although this is one of the bigger Hymers it will go pretty much anywhere that a van will ....

Accomodation  There are 3 double beds and they are in true German style ..big . I m 6 ft 4 and can sleep in any of the beds with comfort.The shower works as good as any house shower and the boiler produces water as hot as you want it to be.The blinds and screens keep everything blacked out at night  or cool during the day.The fridge works as it should on gas or electric.There are ample lockers internally (4 girls and the wife even have enough room for thier kit) and 2 large external lockers.The gas locker can take 2 11kg bottles which is easily enough for our ski-ing trip in the snow.There are 3 seat belts in the rear.10 disc Sony CD player with manual.

Service and Maintainence I ve ensured that 654 gets all the work it needs so its been very reliable.The history is pretty extensive , main items fitted new are radiator and water pump, braking system,stainless steel exhaust,Michelin Agilis 81 tyres , taps and water valves, new sky light and 2 internal roof panels along with regular services and replacing filters etc.There is quite a lot of history in German with lots of original documents.The MOT is due in Aug.

Other Notes 654 has a 3 bike rack which is hydraulic so you don't have to lift the bikes too high.Also there is a built in scooter rack in the rear bumper .. I never used this but sure it will work if you need one.There is a roof rack that I used to carry 2 kayaks , this can be removed if you don't use it.

There is a safe fitted, it does not have an oven and its 21 feet long , both seats swivel, the rear bed is fixed but has loads of storage space underneath.

Also included in the sale  Levelling ramps, hook up cable with attachment for domestic socket ,internal and external thermal screens,internal carpet set,snow chimney, warning triangle,1x 11kg gas bottle.

Please Note  Unfortunately as luck would have it , on our last trip to the Cairngorms in Feb the wind out awning has been storm damaged.It needs £300 of work on it ... or replacing completely if you can wait for one to come up second hand.In order to be fair about this I am going to also include in the sale a Porchlight Awning that I was planning to sell seperatley.We have had it 18 months so I think it would easily be worth £150.With this in mind I have set the reserve price at a very sensible level.

So that's about it for our 654 , its not one of the regular worn out early models that are on the market but a genuine low mileage well maintained motor home with loads of history and a genuine reason for sale.It's got plenty of life left in it yet.

For sale is my 2006 Ford Transit 140T350 camper.

It was professionally converted last year at the cost of £5500 plus sink, hob and fridge.

The idea was simply, to have a camper that I could park anywhere without need for any other facilities.

As I’m a taller than average guy, the van is filled with a 6’6” long and 4’6” wide bed.

This has the added advantage that you can buy bedding off the shelf as it’s a standard size.

The bed comes complete with a thick memory foam topper which makes it very comfortable after a long walk in the hills.

Two inverters in the back cupboard run the macerator and give a 240v power supply in the main area so you can plug in just about anything.

It also has a fridge with a freezer compartment which runs off gas or the batteries when the engine is running.

It also has an on demand boiler, so just light the pilot light and when you turn the tap – instant hot water .

Best of all the van has a proper flushing toilet because I HATE the disguising chemical ones, the waste is pumped into a 17 gallon waste tank via a macerator and to empty just pull up to a drain and pull a leaver – job done

The van has a 17 gallon water tank so when the water is running out its time to empty the waste tank – simple!

There is loads of storage, over the front seats, cupboards and some hanging space and under the bed.

The van has two leisure batteries so enough to keep everything running when you’re parked up.

The van is showing 99k miles but the previous owner claimed it had had a new engine 25k miles ago apparently replace under warranty by ford, when I serviced the engine the guy at ford Leeds confirmed it wasn’t the original engine so the engine has done about 27k miles but I have no paperwork to prove this.

What I do know for fact is this camper will take you anywhere you want at (or above) the speed limit without missing a beat, no plodding on and holding up traffic in this van.

Please remember this is a 6 year old van and there are a few chips ect in the pain but the body is very straight, with a little effort it could look like it just rolled off the production line.

Saldy the current economic climate is such that she has to go, I never got to use it much just a couple of weekend and a week in Scotland. Gonna miss it but gotta pay the bills.

I would just like to make clear at this point that it is only for sale due to my wifes ill-health, or it would be staying with us.

We have used the camper all over the Uk and also a few times to France and had no problems or faults to report.

As you may know the chassis on these is fully galvanised so has no rust and comes with spare wheel slung below, all tyres and brakes

on the trailer are in good condition and work as they should.

We have changed the gas regulator so that a larger gas bottle can be used (like the ones used in gas fires) a bottle will be supplied in sale.

The canvas on the main unit and the awning are in very good condition for their age without any major damage and there is a full length skirt

that runs along the length of the main unit.

There is cooker and grill built in to a storage unit which folds down to allow the camper to fold. A table sits in the cetre of the camper with a bench seat around it, this converts to the third double bed, all cushions are present and in good condition.

We have also added an awning bedroom pod which swells the sleeping capacity to eight, this could also be used for extra storage.

This camper is being sold fully equipped: Leisure battery, two gas bottles, Electric hook up cable, larder unit, all cooking utensils, plates, even corkscrew and wine glasses!  Basically everything you will need for camping is included and all of the  additional equipment has been used for just 4 weekends.

Overall it is in excellent condition. The only defects I can think of are a couple of minor grey marks on the beige parts of the canvas which seem to have come from contact with the frame when folded. From memory there is one broken link spring on the awning frame, which didn't bother us but could be replaced for a couple of pounds.

If you are not familiar with the Conway countryman it provides extensive internal storage plus front locker compartment. Sink with water pump. 3 way fridge, 12v/240v lighting, grill and hob, kitchen cupboards, etc. We upgraded from a trailer tent 2 years ago but find that we can longer persuade our teenage daughters to come away for camping weekends, hence sale.

newly converted ducato tri axle motorhome, featuring a full size fixed double bed with 8" memory foam mattress and with a huge rear boot beneath it, approx 7'0x3'x4.5' you will not be short of storage...

just forward of the bed there is a side kitchen fitted with a sink with swivel tap, draining board, glass topped four ring hob with a gas grill under it, a reasonable sized glass fronted gas oven, and a good sized three way fridge with freezer box inside,again with storage cupboards beneath the main units...

opposite the kitchen there is a good sized settee with 8" memory foam cushioning and a large storage locker underneath (carpetted) this storage locker has a separate battery compartment that houses the twin leisure batteries 2X 85AMP HOUR... these are maintained by a 100amp split charging system and there is also a heavy duty inbuilt 240 volt charger for when you are on site (charger is built in in the boot section.) and features both trickle charging and a boost mode giving up to 10amp charging all fully automatic so your batteries don't get boiled dry

all main services for the vehicle are located in the boot including gas locker with a gaslow regulator ( also shows amount of gas left in the bottle so you know when to change the bottle ). also main gas shut off valves for each gas appliance... water tank, 45litre with winter drain valve and water pump water is topped up via a lockable cap. mains 240volt input also in the boot with access to caravan electrical distribution unit.

heating for the vehicle is taken care of with a caravan gas fire 1.8kw output with a small fan to aid heat circulation this is a room sealed type so combustion air is drawn in from the outside and burnt flue gases also discharge outside. (there is also an eberspacher night heater fitted in the vehicle with a huge 9.5kw output heater this unit runs on deisel...i cannot get this unit to fire up and i know nothing about these, i do know that you can see air bubbles in the fuel feed pipe when is is trying to fire up...this unit was working when and demonstrated to me i bought the vehicle last year but i just cannot figure it out.) i have been told that they need servicing annually and that a good service may well sort it out...a fitter i contacted also tells me these unit need to be used regularly and not left unused for months at a time. (how come nobody mentions things like this in advance of any lesson learning events).

in the front section is the toilet room with a thetford cassette, electric flush loo and again storage cupboards...with a handy storage section over it. ideal for camera tripods and binoculars etc and opposite that is a dining table with two cream leather seats and a couple off matching stools.

large panoramic windows down each side all fitted with thermal blackout blinds (i hate waking up at 4am just because it got light, if i need to wake up early i use an alarm clock.) the cab section is closed off at night with a set of heavy curtains as is the side door, there are also two opening fitted rooflights to help with ventilation etc...

 a reversing camera is fitted to aid with manouvering and parking. bodywork condition is very good for its age, full length fibreglass roof no cracks damage or leaks see photo, and just a few bits of bubbled paint here and there i will try to get these done weather permitting.the bodywork is mostly fibreglass and aluminium so not rusty.

the van has a radio, cd and dvd player with inputs by usb or sd memory card, opposite the settee is a mounted 19" lcd television and a freesat satellite unit with the van...

on a run this vehicle returns 34mpg and is actually cheaper to run than my car!!!. mot to march 2013 and taxed

good points...has some history and previous tax discs good runner ...well convertered nice and tidy inside no rips tears no  damage, inside the cab is in great condition very tidy, has side door and rear doors for entry and pictures will show you the inside it, it comes with freeviw and flat screen tv that is wall mounted on a movable bracket, has some sort of heating ...dont know what it does as it was in when we got it and we never used it....lots of built in storage .

bad points ....the gearbox occasionaly crunches when going down the gears too quick.....but i have been on an online forum and spoke to fiat and this is a common fault with these but runs fine and gears are fine....just being honest ....outside could do with a bit of t-cut to clean the old decal sticky marks off you can see this on the pics , and the carpet could do with a little clean.... other thatn this its brilliant

RENAULT  SPENCER SHERWOOD CAMPER VAN

It is a 4 berth van with plenty of storage space and drives like a dream, I've had this van about 8 months and have done alot of work in it .   New carpet,cushions,shower curtain,new cups, plates, kettle, washing up bowl, drainer, etc never been used and  they are all in blue It flew through the last MOT .  and is taxed for 6 months. I will be sad to let this van go as I had made it ready to be a home from home for my family able to go anywhere without requiring camp site facilities but unfortunately my husband has hurt his leg and now cannot drive it.

new tyres, i had it MOT'd at the end of April this year it is currently TAX but is NOT available as its disabled TAX and not transferable to a new owner, also currently insured for under £200 for the year, if that helps with transporting it home.

at the MOT the tester commented on how good it was underneath, so thats a bonus.

I have had a few problems with it relating to engine timing, cant seem to get it right, I can get it to starting and run to a point but not  enough to make it drivable or useable.

Ive fitted new points , condensor, rotor arm, cap, leads and plugs, its had a brand new carburettor.  Im so close to getting it running properly, but have got frustrated with it, and cant be bothered anymore. ive spent far more than im asking for it now.

its has had to have a brand new fuel tank which had to be professionally modified to suit the camper, this will need to be fitted (supplied) the old tank has already been removed and disposed of.

has had four new tyres recently, and everything else works on the van. Im sorry to see it go, especially as Ive spent so much and not really used it yet.

so to recap, it CANNOT be driven away, the radiator and engine cover is off to facilitate doing the timing (because of this its a non runner)

timing needs looking at.

The camper is around 19 years old. The beauty of a camper is that you can use it quickly and easily for short stays - it can be opened up in about 5 minutes, or you can put the awning up too when staying for longer and double your living space. The camper has 2 double berths, one converts to a sofa as shown in the photo, but you could also sleep guests in the awning on campbeds etc. The awning includes one under camper surrounding pod but would need an internal pod liner to finish it off for using in this way. The kitchen unit is in the centre and has sink, hob with 2 gas rings and a grill. There are storage units underneath and 2 more cabinets opposite.

The awning and all poles are included and can be transported inside the camper or on top. There is also a table and water carrier included and there are 2 clip lights attached to the mains system. There are two electric points within the unit.

There are curtains for the unit and for the awning. However the front curtains are not the originals therefore you may wish to think about getting some replacements. However we made do with the curtains that came with the tent and they were fine for us.

There is a storage locker above the tow bracket, which can hold bits and bobs, crank handle, small gas bottle etc (not included).

In general this is in good condition for its age. The mattresses are in good condition - no stains or tears etc, and are quite comfy too! It has been well looked after but obviously has had plenty of use in its time. The colours of the awning and canvas have faded with time and become grubby in places, but this has to be expected. There is one professional repair near the doorway which is strong and does not impact on the canvas at all and one small one that we have patched ourself (this is on the door to the unit not the awning door). I can supply photos but neither affect the use of the door. There is also a small tear in the inner canvas in the roof which was there when we purchased it but this does not affect the tent in any way either.

Overall, the unit is sound, the photos were taken today.

The motorhome has been very well looked after and loved by its last owner for the past 15 Years.

Shell in sound waterproof condition no cracks in plastics or dents in caravan.

The 12v will run off caravan battery or car battery.

All electric systems work well.

The fridge is in good working order and will light on the gas as well.

The heater works fine and toasts the caravan up lovely.

There is a 12v water pump to get water to the sinks.

The tyres are in great condition with loads of tread.

All cushions and carpets in good condition, no fraying.

There are 2 fold up tables, a water container and leg winder under the seat.

There used to some previous areas of damp in the past,

Elddis elusion 420/ 4 berth lightweight touring caravan. Cris registered and first registered with cris in 1995.

The front lounge has bench style seating which consists of a large double bed or comfortable seating area for 4 - 6 people. There is a free standing table and 4 people could dine in comfort.

The  kitchen is fully equipped with hot and cold water to the sink,  spinflo 3 burner hob, grill and a 3 way  fridge.

There is a carver 1800 heating system gas powered located centrally with thermostatic control. There is hot and cold water supplied by the cascade water heater.

The end corner bathroom is fully equipped with hot and cold water to the sink, decent sized shower and cassette toilet. 

There is an end corner dinette capable of seating 3 people or adequate dining for 2. This can be converted in a double bed by night and has a curtain to pull around for nightime privacy.

Central in the caravan is a sideboard with a 240v socket (ideal for the tv).

There are loads of overhead lockers, cupboards, drawers, storage units and under bed storage to store all your holiday gear in. 

 A full hpi check has been carried out confirming the caravan is 100% clear from theft, finance or accident damage. Caravan has had 3 former keeper and the last change of keeper was in 2000.

 All windows are double glazed.

All handbooks, caravan council certificate etc are all present.

This caravan is a trade sale of a main dealer part exchange caravan, sold as seen with no warranty.

Please remember its17 years old so will not be as good as a new one and will have imperfectations to be expected due to age but in decent condition for its age. There is evidence of damp around the front windows and will need resealing / boarding , summers comeing nice easy project for someone but will need work. Description is brief and there may be other things you find relevant so viewing is encouraged. Nothing what so ever has been checked other than the towing lights and they work fine, basically as it come in it will be going out. All I can tell you is it was in use up until I took it in. Any independant inspection is welcome prior to sale. On the face of it looks a nice van and with a bit of tlc could be someones pride and joy again
